The 7th Winter school on Indian Culture and Spirituality was inagurated on 18th December 2009 by Sri K.Jayakumar IAS , Addl. Chief Secretary to Govt of Kerala.
Addressing the students, Sri Jayakumar said that developing self confidence is the goal behind all religious and spiritual learning. Without self confidence no achievement is possible, neither material nor spiritual. Learning of philosophical schools and theories should enable human beings to stand on their own legs, and that should be the genre of timetested philosophy.
Elaborating the nuances in the rich cultural heritage of India, Sri Jayakumar said that Indian deities have a number of weapons in their hands.This is to show that the divinity annihilates the animal nature in man. Man becomes God when he annihilates the animal in him.
